Life is like a cab driver without reliable vehicle with no secure internet connection. Efficient access to the Internet in almost every situation is crucial in a modern era when information is generated and received at a fast rate. This high demand makes Wi-Fi a very useful technology for the faster, faster and less difficult transmission and exchange of data. A wireless router is required to access Wi-Fi in most homes for mobile devices in addition to connecting multiple electronic devices to an Internet network. However, there are 10 different ways to improve the signal power of the Wi-Fi router in your house. Place Your Router In An Open, Centralized LocationWi-Fi signal is an electromagnetic wave that can easily pass through your house. Wi-Fi can not reach the walls, doors and other items of your house entirely. If you put your router in an open area, the wireless signal can dissipate more consistently in the middle of all the rooms of your house. Place The Router In An Elevated PositionWi-Fi signals generally fly sideways and downwards from the router antenna. It is also ideal for you to position your router in an open room, ideally on the top of a table or a large chest. Hide The Router From Other Electronics When positioned near a TV, computer or other electronic device, Wi-Fi signals may interfere. For better signal power, try to keep the router away from those gadgets. The Antenna In Different Directions Try to point the antenna to various directions to determine which signals get the strongest. One router antenna is proposed to be facing vertically on the outside and the other facing horizontally on the outside. To Mount Your Wireless Router Antenna On A Single Parabolic AntennasYou can position a thin home-made, curved metal antenna above one of the antennas of the router if your router comes with antennas. The handmade parabolic antenna concentrates the wireless router's signal, thus maximizing signal power. Change Configuration Of Wireless Router Using DD-WRT FirmwareAll routers are still preset with such plant configurations. You can configure any of these configurations on your router with this app, including signal strength and speed. The efficiency of your router is free and available to your device. Transform An Old Router Into A Wi-Fi RepeaterDon't throw it out if you have an old wireless router at home. Recycle it to a Wi-Fi replayer using the DD-WRT firmware (i.e., a device that extends the Wi-Fi signal from your newer router). With the app, all routers are connected to the same internet network at home. Then place the old router and attach it to your machine in another part of your home. Many educational tools are available to show you how to do this.
You can of course still buy a fresh and expensive Wi-Fi repeater, but why should you do so when you have an old router to do the same?
